A TEST TO DETECT FRACTURE WITHOUT X-RAY. .

A thought that hit my mind whine i was in my first year. . .when the lecturer in physio lab told that 'BONE CONDUCTION IS BETTER THAN AIR CONDUCTION'. So it was bone conduction, and BONE=FRACTURE. . .
Now the idea is to detect fracture. . .HOW??it was just by using an TUNING FORK and a STETHESCOPE  . .
PROCEDURE-keepin tuning fork at the distal end of injury and stethescope at proximal end ,interprete with the sound
INTERPRETATION-As bone is a good conductor of sound, hence in a normal bone sound waves are transmitted and heard on auscultation. . . .but if the bone is fractured and is cut, then tuning fork vibrations are not conducted, hence no sound heard on auscultation. . .

RESULT-As its just a thought and i have not yet tried i am still not sure. . .
but when i discussed this with a friend he just tried it on abdomen, and he could ausculcate sound, wheras abdome has no bone. .
THOUGH BONE CONDUCTION IS BETTER BUT ITS NOT THE ONLY CONDUCTOR OF SOUND IN HUMAN BODY. . .!!
